Some Houston Cougars Football Info

The Houston Cougars football program is an NCAA Division I FBS football team that represents the University of Houston, a major public university in Houston. The team is commonly referred to as "Houston" or "UH" (spoken as "U of H"). The UH football program completed a 17-season tenure in Conference USA in 2012. They currently play as a member of the American Athletic Conference. Houston is coached by head coach Tony Levine. From 1941 to 2012, the Cougars played home games on campus at Robertson Stadium, but that stadium was closed at the end of that season. The team will use Reliant Stadium for most of its 2013 home games before the new Houston Football Stadium opens at the former Robertson Stadium site in 2014. Throughout the Cougars' history, the team has won 10 conference championships and has several players as members of the College Football Hall of Fame, including a Heisman Trophy winner.
